Below is a list of volunteer opportunities for the 2011-2012 school year. We are using a new program called "Volunteer Spot" to coordinate volunteer dates and times. Volunteer Spot allows you to view all open volunteer slots and sends you an email reminder. This new program does NOT replace the VIPS system in the front office. You must be a registered volunteer with VIPS in order to volunteer at Morikami.

| Picture Day, September 14 2011- Two volunteers are need per shift. 8:30am-10:00am, 10:00am-11:30am, 11;30am-1:00pm
PTA Skate Night, September 15, 2011- Volunteers are needed at check in. 2 Volunteers per shift (2 shifts). 4:30pm - 7pm.
Fall Book Fair, October 12 - October 14 and October 17 - October 19, 2011- Several volunteers are needed to help the kids with their selections, calculating purchases and keeping the book fair in order. Shifts will be 8:00am-10:00am, 10:00am-11:30am, 12:00pm-2:00pm. Thursday, October 13th, Book Fair will be open until 11:am and on Wednesday, October 19th, Book Fair will be open until 10:00 a.m. Please click on the Volunteer Spot link above to sign up.
Morikami Goes Pink, October 4, 2011- Volunteers are needed at Will Call, Food Line, Photographs, and Clean up. There are two shifts available: 4:15 to 6:00 pm - set up and first shift and/or 6:00 to 7:30 pm - second shift and clean up. Click here for Morikami Goes Pink volunteer sign up form. Pease fill form and return to front office.
Math & Science Fair, January 24, 2012- Details to follow as they become available. Carnival- January 28, 2012- The PTA is looking for carnival volunteers. There are many volunteer opportunities available for set up, booth management, food distribution, etc so if you like to have fun and want to help. Click here for info.
Boosterthon, March 16, 2011- Spring Picture Day, February 8th and 9th, 2012- Two volunteers are need per shift. 8:30am-10:00am, 10:00am-11:30am, 11;30am-1:00pm

Spring Book Fair- February 13th through Februar 17th- The book fair is looking for volunteers. The following shifts are available for each day: 8am-10am, 10am-11:30am, and 12pm-2pm. Volunteers will help the students find appropriate books, calculate their totals and assist with restocking the shelves when needed. Please contact Melissa Wigdor or Nicole West. Thanks!!!
Earth Day Social, TBA, 2012- Science, Crafts, Recycling Race, Butterfly Garden Activity etc. Don't miss the fun!!! 5:00pm-7:00pm
